The aim of Karate
The triumph over the opponent is not the true sense of Karate. Firstly it is necessary to have full control over the own weakness to win a fight. The strengthening of the personality, self-control, respect for the opponent and concentration on his or her deficits are the most important aspects of this martial art.
Remaining healthy with Karate
In 2003 the World Health Organization announced Karate as healthy sports.
What do we offer our members?
After a time interval beginners pass an examination to receive a belt. These belts are “colour belt” and the first belt is white. It goes on with yellow, orange, green, blue, brown and ends with the black belt. The black belt is the belt of the master, named DAN. Our examinations are accepted all over the world.
Our members have the chance to choose their own way. They can practice Karate in competitions (Kumite and Kata) and take part in official championships. Another way is to practise individual self-defence, fitness and personality development, especially self-assertion for women.
Besides the traditional Karate we also practise freestyle Karate, Karate for people with mental and physical disability and Tae-Do.
Karate is practicable into for everyone, there is no limit. Our youngest member is 4 year old.
Furthermore the different cultures of our members give us the possibility to experience other cultures and traditions. The international contacts to other clubs and trainers offer our members lots of opportunities. For this reason our club grow in a short time. We have training for every member to find his or her own way.
